Personality: Nick is actually a pretty nice person. He has always worked hard, tried to keep his grades up, and has been a good friend. But after taking sociology in college and learning more about the way society is run, Nick became silently frustrated with society. After gaining powers, he is still a nice person, only uses his powers to get what he needs, and will not use his powers on others unless they are standing in his way.

Biography: Nick O’Neil was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, later moving to Shield City to attend college in order to study sociology. Unlike all the other villains of High Voltage, Nick O’Neil had a relatively normal upbringing; his parents worked to take care of him, Nick had friends, he played sports in school, had a few girlfriends, and eventually went off to college… a very typical life. After moving away from California, Nick moved to a small apartment in Shield City, picked up a job as a banker, and started attending university. While living on his own, Nick started to feel the pressures of the real world. He had to study constantly to keep his grades up; he had to work long, hard hours to make ends meet, and he started to constantly wonder why the cost of his college education was so high. As all of these questions flooded his mind, he began to silently become angry over the way society was run. Nick started to think to himself that life shouldn’t be so hard; he thought that life should be easier, especially for people who were just starting out in the world. As Nick’s classes became increasingly hard, he had to cut down his work hours, which in turn made him miss a few payments on his bills and rent. In order to make ends meet, Nick resorted to stealing money from the bank to pay off his bills. Unfortunately for the desperate college student, he was caught and promptly fired. But because his boss had sympathy for the young college student, his boss told Nick that if he returned the stolen money, then he wouldn’t involve the cops in the situation. After being fired, coming close to being evicted, and his grades beginning to falter… Nick started to feel anger well up inside of him. After gaining the abilities to control dark energy, Nick put on a black suit and purple cape, eventually calling himself Dark Eclipse. As Dark Eclipse, Nick would use his abilities to mess with the system. He thought that by stealing money with his powers, he would show the system that it can be beat, plus payoff his bills and school tuition.

Dislikes: The police force, the government, the system of society

Powers:Dark Eclipse has the ability to control shadows, darkness, and negative energy. If the opponent he is fighting has a lot of negative emotions, Dark Eclipse can feed off of that and increase his powers. Dark Eclipse also has access to a negative world, a world that is engulfed in complete darkness. Dark Eclipse uses portals to slip in and out of his negative dimension, and he can store objects and people in his negative dimension for however long he wants. The longer a person stays inside Dark Eclipses negative dimension, the more negative emotions they feel (anger, sorrow, and depression are common traits of being in his dimension for too long). Unfortunately for his victims, Dark Eclipse is the only one who can enter in and out of his negative dimension freely; if he traps you in his negative dimension, you are virtually stuck there. He typically uses his negative dimension to store stolen items.

Weakness: While his powers are engaged, he is susceptible to lightning attacks, fire attacks (fire creates bright lights), and cannot stand being in the sun (light attacks only hurt him when his powers are engaged for prolonged periods).

Family: Although he has a mother and father, their careers are unknown.
